Any idea why SID_REPORTVERSION would have this response?

Its been a long known fact that the buffer used for SID_REPORTVERSION's Patch info is not properly cleared, and added to the packet, resulting in a lot of extra, random data.
Safe to ignore.

IMO, this type of info should be included on bnetdocs. Maybe it just so happened to be a "known" issue, but for someone who is just implementing something for the first time would probably want to know why extra data is in the packet. I know a lot of people direct newcomers to bnetdocs when they need basic help, so that site should probably have details like this.

I further explained what Hdx added on the Bnetdocs page, if anyone's curious.

I explained that the Patch info string does not get properly cleared (as what Hdx said), and I added that there's nothing to gain from the extra data even if you think there is; the data will always be random and there's no format to it since it is raw memory from the Battle.net process itself.

And on PvPGN, correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think this happens; that is, extra data appearing after the string appearing empty.
